About Me
I am a graphic design and illustration student at the University of South Carolina. I was in STEM before switching to graphic design. I was peer-pressured into doing it because I was “good” at it, even though I was always creative growing up, but I never felt passionate towards it.
That was probably why I kept switching back and forth from biology to health science to computer science; I just couldn’t land home. However, I still appreciate my time doing STEM, because it taught me problem solving skills and it made me have tough skin, because it’s also difficult and competitive. But graphic design lets me be me. STEM is often linear and bland, but graphic design doesn’t punish me for being all over the
place, and actually it is encouraged to be like that (wisely). I guess that’s why I want to be a graphic designer.
