In-class exercises
These in-class exercises were for us to get more comfortable with the software and tools we were going to be using throughout the semester, and to have a deeper understanding of UX/UI design.
Exercise 1
For this exercise, in groups, we were to find an example of a bad website design and explain why as well as a good website design.

Business Objectives
We developed productive co-working habits within physical and virtual small groups. We got familiar with Miro and took notes and developed imagery for group presentation at the end of class. We followed the assignment and meet the deadline.
Creative Objectives
We become better acquainted with optimal site design, and thought critically about it. We worked meta-cognitively to explain our solutions, and considered user experience and standard site anatomy.
Exercise 2
In this exercise, we were also in groups and were tasked to go to our assigned website and to develop the information architecture by way of a site map.

Business Objectives
We developed productive co-working habits within physical and virtual small groups and kept getting familiar with Miro. We also took notes and developed imagery for group presentation at the end of class and followed the assignment and meet the deadline.
Creative Objectives
We considered user experience and fundamental site structure and work collaboratively. We took notes and developed an understanding of site map framework used in the foundation of every website. Also, we become better acquainted with optimal site design, and became more familiar with thinking critically about it.
Exercise 3
In this exercise, called a design sprint, we designed a single page site with 5 sections, viewable as you scroll, and a menu. The sections included a header with hero image/text and menu, three of the artist work, and a footer
Business Objectives
We adopted the practice of naming and organizing layers on a native file for use as if handing off or collaborating in an agile environment. We delivered the wireframe with final prototype and clearly indicate the purpose of the site within the first seconds of viewing. We employed variable fonts and consider their use as a standard practice for design on screen and web.
Creative Objectives
We considered how to convey tone through color, imagery, typography, and layout for mobile, and UX and fundamental UI while wireframing to sketch ideas and flow. We refined optimal site design, thought critically about it while in practice, and used “creative constraints” to develop work with fresh perspective.
